WHY CRoWDFUNDING?
I retired like many my age disillusioned with the widening disparity of oral health care, which in my opinion is far worse now than when I qualified in 1982.
I made the App to help those DCPs who do not get the support and recognition for the excellent care we deliver. Not everyone wants to spend hours providing cosmetic care for the few, but the majority of the general public wants oral health care. While the government announced, "Prevention is better than cure", it didn't include anyone with any erupted permanent dentition. Nothing will last longer in the mouth than the teeth we were born with.
The App works in it can help save time and money for the user, and similarly, for all DPCS save time, promote your services, and guarantee all therapy for longer with the traffic light system.
Crowdfunding is required to make an updated premium version as described on the final image, using the experience I have gained from all the business and design support I have had over the last twelve months.
Any future version will need to develop on a different bespoke wireframe.
Crowdfunding also serves as a form of advertising to the general public, and my marketing attempts have failed. Without the resources to have an advertising campaign, this may work. Can you help?

This is part of the website. Some feedback I have received is that dentists are concerned what I would do with the money!😤 If only I had the choice 😁
WHAT WOULD I DO with the extra money?
After forty years as a dentist, I retired and have had support and advice from Innovate Uk and design for growth to help improve this eHealth product I made initially for my patients. £40000 may be enough to make a more user-friendly template and a base designed for additional functions. For more background, download the current teeth4life App, press INFO to see how it works for you, and look up the video "Child GA prevention" in the My Care Section of the App to see why we need to crowdfund and the long term savings it will generate and help protect vital NHS services, as well as our teeth.
£50,000 is the actual quote I have had from three different App developers to include AI and allow it to have a translation facility for those members of the public who don't speak English as a first language. It would also allow for teledentistry. Teledentistry is oral hygiene advice over the phone for you and the family using the camera and will reduce the cost for your prevention advice with improved convenience. It will save time and money for both the user and the provider. And it will help those who find a visit to see us too traumatic and may help reduce their anxiety enough to seek treatment. If anyone has experience in IT, it tends to cost twice as long and cost twice as much. Just think of track and trace.
Concerning any excess income, I aim to set up Care4teeth Limited as a For-Benefit Enterprise, in that profits will be reinvested in your healthcare.
If 2% of dentists paid £20 a month for the App, it would generate a significant surplus and self-fund the prevention App. It just needs kickstarting.
My first website care4teeth.org was made for carers. My dad's dementia focused my attention on how little oral hygiene training carers have for vulnerable members of society and to help preserve their dignity and enjoyment in their twilight years. It would cost over £70,000 to make a free course for all carers on gaining training certification. The App has some links and advice for carers, but they are inadequate.
Many of us become carers for our immediate family and friends. We are often too proud or do not know where to ask for help and support. I would delegate it to experts in the field, KOHC through Future Learn.
If there were still a surplus, I would help fund mobile dental care delivery units using the currently available dental scanners, 3DPrinters and silver diamine fluoride to help protect the most vulnerable using the underused dental therapists. The company already exists. It's called Dentaid.
Following Covid, we are all aware "prevention is better than cure", but when it comes to dentistry, we will have to pay for it.
